Meet Our 2026 Intern Cohort

We’re building the future of IT; by investing in emerging talent.

This year, we welcomed a group of driven interns completing their NQF Level 4 qualifications in Systems Development through Dynamic DNA, alongside a front-end development intern from Codespace Academy.

Over the next 6-8 months, they’ll be immersed in real-world enterprise environments, gaining hands-on exposure to the technologies and platforms that power modern digital workplaces.

Where They’re Studying

Our interns are currently completing:

  • NQF Level 4 in Systems Development through Dynamic DNA
  • Front-End Development (UI/UX) through Codespace Academy

These programmes combine theory with workplace experience – therefore making Think Tank the ideal environment to bridge the gap between classroom learning and enterprise execution.

What They’re Working On

This is not shadowing. This is real delivery.

Our interns are actively involved in, for example:

  • Upgrading and managing servers
  • Setting up and configuring SQL Server, SSMS, SSRS, and IIS
  • Working with Windows Server environments
  • Installing and configuring Ivanti Service and Asset Manager
  • Supporting Ivanti ITSM environments
  • Managing stakeholder accounts
  • Troubleshooting issues and ensuring reporting and web access functionality

In short, they are gaining exposure across infrastructure, service management, and enterprise system configuration – the foundation of scalable IT environments.

Why They Chose Think Tank

Overall, a common theme stood out: growth and practical exposure.

They chose Think Tank because we operate in a niche, high-impact space focused on data, systems, and enterprise service management. More importantly, they wanted hands-on experience – not just theory.

They value:

  • Applying classroom learning to real-world systems
  • Working within diverse technical teams
  • Exposure to enterprise-grade ITSM platforms like Ivanti
  • A learning environment that encourages mentorship and skill development

For many, this is their first opportunity to work on live, scalable systems used by real clients.

Career Aspirations

This cohort is ambitious.

Their goals include becoming:

  • Full-stack developers
  • System administrators
  • IT service management specialists
  • Software testers
  • Cybersecurity professionals
  • Senior technical leaders

Several have already set personal timelines to grow into senior roles within the next few years. The intention is clear: build deep technical capability and long-term careers in technology.

Beyond the Technical Skills

What makes this group interesting is not just their technical ambition.

Among them you’ll find:

  • A former graphic design student who transitioned into systems development out of curiosity
  • A competitive gamer with a passion for tech reviews and DIY projects
  • A chess player who enjoys solving complex problems
  • A sports enthusiast
  • Interns who present weekly as part of their development programme, strengthening communication and teamwork skills

They are not just learning to configure systems – they are developing professional confidence.

Looking Ahead

Looking forward, their learnerships run between 6 and 8 months, with several expressing a strong desire to transition into permanent roles.

For us, internships are not a tick-box exercise. They are part of our broader commitment to building technical maturity within South Africa’s enterprise landscape.

We’re excited to see how this group grows – not just as technologists, but as future consultants who will help elevate employee workspace experiences across the organisations we serve.

Welcome to the team.
